Pros

Easy to tie, accessible for young children.
Can be used for Braid and Monofilament and Fluorocarbon.

Cons

Prone to slippage if the incorrect cinching or overwrapping is not present.
If the Mono or Fluoro leader is not snug on Braid line prior to cinching the Leader material will engulf the Braid Knot. Based on a Granny knot with multiple wraps, this tends to allow multiple crossover point within the knot. This in turn will weaken the Braid as it has multiple areas to cut into under tension.
